STEP 1
Define your search criteria

What does your ideal rented house or apartment look like? Do you want a fitted kitchen, an outdoor patio, a parking space? Do you want to rent at home or abroad? Write down your wishes. Then select houses and apartments that meet these criteria together with your CENTURY 21 real estate advisor. This approach will save you a great deal of time and expense.

STEP 2
Set your budget

Renting is a lot easier if you set your budget beforehand. Make an honest assessment of your financial situation: do you have a fixed income, can you afford the deposit, what is the maximum rent? Also, don’t forget the additional costs.

STEP 3
Start searching

Your search starts with our search engine which allows you to navigate through our extensive database quickly and easily. Choose your type of home, country and place and just click to activate the search engine. This tool is not just handy; it’s also smart. It remembers your personal search criteria and selection so that it can automatically refine your results with every search.

But perhaps you would rather actually speak to someone? If so, your CENTURY 21 real estate specialist is at the ready to help you. After all, two heads are better than one. You can benefit from your consultant’s expertise when you visit selected buildings together. Your specialist will also know all about the neighbourhood’s facilities, such as public transport, approach roads and schools, as well as being up-to-date on the prices.

STEP 4
Sign the rental contract

Two parties – supply and demand. In the middle is your CENTURY 21-specialist, who plays a pivotal role. They know the rules of the game and can help you to draw up a fixed-term rental contract. They will also take all recent changes in rental law into account, such as the compulsory inventory of fixtures and fittings,  registration of the rental contract, deposit and insurance.

STEP 5
Move

How do I plan a successful move? Who must I notify? Where can I buy moving boxes? You can find all the answers to your questions in our handy CENTURY 21 relocation guide. Ask for a free copy at a CENTURY 21 office near you.

If you need help with one of the five steps, please contact a CENTURY 21 office near you. They will give you personal, objective and impartial advice on all the formalities.
